Blizzard hates me

About a week ago, one of my characters in World of Warcraft was bugged. He died immediately upon entering an instance (stockades) and could not resurrect. Next thing I knew, he'd been teleported to a completely different island and stuck in limbo. I reported the issue to a GM and got back a response that my character should now be reachable and this should fix everything.

Their reply wasn't the least bit helpful. The words "Your corpse should now be in a reachable location" gave me the impression that they'd done something to fix it. However, everything was exactly the same as before.. I politely responded saying that my character was still bugged and gave some links to screenshots to explain more clearly what was wrong. I did feel like wording my reply somewhat stronger since the 1st reply was a form letter that didn't fix my problem at all but realized that wouldn't actually get them to help me any faster. I could easily imagine some underpaid contact centre slave getting annoyed with my complaint about their ineffective "service" and screwing up my character more.

Their 2nd reponse didn't have quite the same level of form-letterness about it and indeed I had been put back on land. On a different island and I had my ghost had to use the Spirit Healer to come back to like but I was ok with that. Happy.

Happy until I saw I had another email from Blizzard. This one not so good. Aparently the names "Drcarrot" and "Drhand" were inapproptiate and I would be unable to use them anymore. This was sent immediately after their 2nd reponse. This looks like some petty minded GM took exception to me not being happy with the service I got.

Yes, technically I was in viloation of the naming system they have in place; specifically that names should not:
  • Consist of any title prefix attached to a character's name be it fantasy-based or not (i.e. Kingmike, Presidentsanchez)
I could argue that Drcarrot had 300 level First-Aid skills and you don't get any more "Dr" than that.

So Drhand is now Coffeecup and Drcarrot is now ZooDude.

This caused some confusion in my guild and I got messages saying things like: "Huh? Who are you?" for a while. Some of my guildies still refer to my hunter as "Carrot". Thanks guys:)
