Much easier the second time round

Yeah, another damn post about World of Warcraft. Yes, there are more interesting things happing right now but right now, I'm gonna talk some more about Coffeecup.

When I was playing as my Hunter it took forever to advance from one level to the next. I did almost almost everything solo and it was a rare thing indeed if I ever got to wear some blue (ie: nice) gear. I was always broke. I hit level 40 with about 30g. Far off the 90 I needed to buy my mount. At 43 I got almost 40g from a friend; just enough so I could get that damn mount and finally get places quickly. Since I was soloing a lot, I wasn't spending much time in instances and so all my gear was coming from the Auction House - kinda explains why I was always broke doesn't it.

The Hunter was, I now realise, quite a boring character to play. It was mostly an endless cycle of send-in-pet, tag, sting, arcane-shot, arcane-shot, monster dies, repeat. Well, perhaps a bit more involved than that but not much. My Warlock on the other hand is a joy to play. It's a more involved character with more than just 4 buttons to click per fight. Like the Hunter, I've still got pets to play with but now they are more than just a tank to keep monsters at a distance.

I'm rich too. Well, for my level I'm well off. Being a 'lock meant I didn't have to purchase a mount, just do a simple quest - which is just as well since we aren't able to carry round as much money making stuff in our bags since the space is usually filled with damn soul shards. I could have easily afforded a mount at 40 though, sweet. I've been selling a crappload of stuff in the AH instead of buying everything which might explain the differences in finances. I know many people send their alts a crapload of cash every now and again but I haven't felt the need to do that.

Almost all of my time is now spent in a group and ever since about level 28, most of that time would be inside instances. Yeah I did instances with my hunter but usually only once or twice each and many of them skipped altogether. This perhaps explains my lack of need to buy gear.

Now I'm level 42 and it becomes harder to progress, I will slack off again but I know that when I do go back, I'll be enjoying myself.
