Being far away

So I'm currently a few timezones away from my loved ones which kinda really sucks. I'm away on business rather than on a holiday and that really kinda sucks. I am being given a lot of free food, breakfast, lunches; dinners; beers, etc, and that is not so bad.

I did a presentation on some stuff today - A presentation based on 5 powerpoint slides that I put together while eating breakfast. Others in the group had stuff that ran to 30 pages with craploads of diagrams and whole pages of words. In order to compensate I kinda insinuated that my presentation didn't include details about X Y and Z (like the others had done) because hearing about somebody else's X Y and Z is really boring. Yeah that was rude and all but so fucking what? It is really boring to hear about that stuff and it's not what we're all here for anyway. We weren't even asked to present about that. Well, that's how I read the presentation request.

Anyway, I did get to talk to P today so being far away was made a little more bearable. "Bearable"? Being more like a bear? What kind of bear? Teddy? Grizzly? Polar? No wonder people thing English is a stoopid language.
